War- Is it necessary?

a poem by Sidhant Bansal

With tears in their eyes, and smiles on their faces,
With those queer looks, with those strange gazes
They looked at me.
The answer to their cries
The answer to their pain,
I am sorry to say
But I had none.
Should I mourn or should I run
It felt as if my head started to spin;
That “noisy silence”, that quiet grief
Was it a dream? Was it an illusion?
Or was it only the mother to my wishes.
In such a wonder
I could only ask,
Can no one in the world bring peace to their hearts
Or still are those humans; from humans apart.
