Love and Diamonds

a poem by Ramesh Chandnani

To prove my love
Am even ready to die
To keep your love
Diamonds can I buy

If one for the other
Then rose, my garden’s blessing
One compliments the other
Diamonds are a woman’s spring

If its so natural
But for a myna to so sweetly sing
‘Tis natural too, for my dreams
To end in a diamond wedding ring

And may I be forever yours
And you be forever mine
Let our love forever last
Like a diamond’s everlasting shine
