I don’t know why…

a poem by

Mili

“Sometimes I feel like jumping ‘n reaching the sky,
sometimes I feel so low,
I don’t know why,
sometimes my life seems so dreary,
though there are times… when its not less than a flurry,
there are times when the path of my life leads no way,
like a prisoner in a dungeon,
Who’s never seen sun rays…
at the open book of my life, sometimes I gaze…
searching for the answers to the questions my mind raised,
everytime I’m closer to the answer…
a whirl of wind comes by,
turns over the page… begins with a new lesson,
I don’t know why…

The Image

a poem by

Mili

“All our lives we live up to an image,
yes! ‘AN IMAGE’,
that’s built for us but not by us,
we work towards it,
not realizing the harm it does,
for once just once!!
remove this veil,
The ‘Veil’ between this image and you,
search yourself and ask yourself,
whether this image is really you,
once you find it,
don’t let it go,
shatter the old one,
begin with New,
that’s built by you and just for you!

The Dream

a poem by

Mili

“This is a dream I share with you,
the dream I wish to see with open eyes…
To walk along with you down the winding lane of life,
no matter how ruffled the path appears,
I’ll stand by your side,
lest your hand is in mine.
To walk along a few steps,
no I don’t even ask for miles,
this is the dream I wish to see with open eyes.
My eyes longing for that one gaze of yours,
that could kill me like a slow poison does,
my ears yearning to hear those words,
like a thirsty wanting to quench thirst,
this is the dream I wish to see with open eyes.
Snowclad mountains,
I hear hissing winds,
a waterfall trickling nearby,
my eyes dawn on you,
I perceive a picture perfect no less than a paradise,
yes!! this is the dream I wish to see with open eyes.
Oh tell me my lord for what should I do,
in search of tranquility I turn to ‘you’,
do dreams, ever… ever come true??”

Memories

a poem by

Mili

“As the long day curtails into a moonlit night,
As I retire to the privacy of my own dreams,
Thoughts of you await to merge behind a thin gauze of memory,
reliving those moments makes my heart beat skip,
its like my unspoken prayers being answered,
like a wound refusing to heal, heals up,
like my inner muteness becoming verbal.
shortly I find myself gazing upon the
profound emptiness in front of me,
realizing that the person the heart beat was missing,
yet there remains a place in my soul,
where you had once been…
and yes… yes it does ‘cos me to wince even
today whenever I feel it!!”
