The Passing Fancies

a poem by

Meena

The whistle blew, the train moved.
Hurriedly, I moved to the cabin,
My alert mind said “OH GENTS”.

Struggling with my bags, here comes the help;
“Let me” said he, carrying them to my seat.
With lump in my mind, I thumped myself to my seat.

With the hairs swinging in the gentle breeze;
My eyes rolled to him,
My alert mind said “HEY HANDSOME”,
His smile twisting and turning my heart.

My eyes glued to the sceneries passing by;
My mind glued to that passer by,
Our smiles passed on for aliens to come;
My mind wondered about the fastest machine,
my heart or the train?

The whistle blew, the train stopped.
My eyes moved again to that passer by,
My hands carrying my bags,
My legs carrying me;
My alert mind said “The Passing Fancies”…

La Fleur De Beau (The Beautiful Flower)

a poem by

Meena

Oh! My delicate darling, the sweet smell in you,
breaks the hearts of bees
and breaks mine too.

Is it your stunning beauty that
lets them surround you?
Is it your kindness that
lets you share your honey with them?

Your beauty, makes me breathless;
With love, my eyes hold you,
My hands reach out to touch and feel you;
“Oh no” my heart says, hurt not your
delicate darling.

With love, my eyes hold you;
With love, I stroll on, leaving my heart.

Oh! my delicate darling, the gifted beauty in you;
breaks the heart of the zephyr
and breaks mine too.

Here comes the Dawn

a poem by

Meena

The pure, virginal princess
swims across the dark ocean,
Her radiance outshining the millions of
twinkling lilies surrounding her.

Veiling herself with the scents of jasmine
and blooming feminity, at night.
She brings a peaceful serenity and
soothing calmness in all our lives.

Here sees her prince, the great ironclad
hot sun riding his wild horses.

The two opposite ends meet.

He adoring his silver lady, the
full form of feminity of nature,
adorning herself in silver jewels,
consumes her in a raging passion.

So here comes the dawn, their child
spreading light to the earth,
spreading light to all our lives.

(Dedicated to
the beautiful Moon,
the magnificent Sun and
the delightful Dawn)

Lonely Soul

a poem by

Meena

Gathering my thoughts across the sky,
I look into me with
all those sweet memorable dreams.

All those sweet memorable dreams of
his voice, his lovable face, his smile, his soul.

All those plans of our wedlock,
Echoing within me.

All those plans of our wedlock,
Ended only in a silence and
Solitude of my soul.

When his soul left me
Alone, standing in this world
With full of pain and hurt.

Waiting for us!

a poem by

Meena

Waiting for us was those joyful days.
The days bloomed, with bees buzzing,
birds chirping and flowers smiling
in our garden of friendship.

Oh, mighty! Thank thee for the time
we spend together on this earth.

Time has moved on…
But my heart still counts,
every moment that has passed by;
recollecting the happiness
and yearning for it to start again,
those wonderful and gayful days spent before
and hoping for it to start again
to tie us with the golden threads
of love and friendship.

I need you

a poem by

Meena

Someday you will come,
Someone needs everybody to love,
Everybody needs someone to love;
And I need you to love,
As you have come now.
