Poems by Mbhan

She came to ask for a Coin

a poem by Mbhan

She extended her hand
a gnarled worn out one
that spoke of the thousands of times.
She had scratched the dusty rocks in search
of a little silver and gold.

He looked at the ridges of grime
on an upturned palm.
Heard the whines of a hungry stomach
rolled up the window.
And rolled away.
