Those Days

a poem by

Mahendra Singh Lalas

The dewdrops on the mornings of spring
use to shine like diamonds on the edges of
big heart-shaped leaves.
The moon use to break like
millions of diamonds
on the shivering waves of the lake.
Now
when you’re not near me
I still visualise you and your glow
in the dewdrops
in the lake
and remember
those days those diamonds days with you.
