Diamonds, dear Diamonds

a poem by Lyngdoh K

It twinkles like the stars above,
On a woman’s hair.
Like the starry desert night, it shimmers,
Oh! dear, the diamonds, dear.

On the fingers it dances, aglow,
Like the laser show.
It strikes the heart of maiden bold,
Oh! dear, the diamonds, dear.

It even aids in mercy death,
When the heart is bled.
While on wedding day it glows,
Oh! dear, the diamonds, dear.
