Unaware I came

a poem by Kesavaraj

On this cold petrifying outer space,
This ball our planet – earth revolves
with a speed of 19 miles per second it moves
Unaware I came with a cry, but smile.

Our life over it we count the days
Unperturbed our heart works to record
Oh what is time – the bird that is on the wing
Unaware I live with a cry, but smile.

Our life on earth is too short a span
Unknowingly or Knowingly our men perpetuates his clan
What is life and why life in quest of life
Unaware I live with a cry, but smile.

Our life on earth gaze and count the stars
Foot on space, we study the distant mass
What is the source of these stars and you
Unaware I live with a cry but smile.

Our life on earth is but a dream and thought
A projection of God – Maya they called
What is life but a bundle of want
To free and cease I cry but smile.

Our life on earth is the Divine cause
But to manifest the divine there is a long pause
Men have come and shown many a path
Unaware to seek I cry but smile.

On this cold outer space darker light
Over this earth my heart beats its lost trumpet
Like the distant cooing of the bird in the night that vanishes
Unaware I pass with a smile and cease my cry.
