I would have forgiven you,
but I don’t know for sure…
Loved you more than me
still devoid of everything
stands me!
No more will my words be here…
a girl taught me…
that concept of love is true fallacy…
stupidity…
I don’t believe in love anymore…

A Fragrance to Treasure…

a poem by

Junaid M

Still your laugher
rings in my ears
I wake up
from deep dreams
hoping you are beside me!

Have you forgotten
the glitter in your eyes?
Have you forgotten
my laugher?
Have you forgotten
my love for you?

My chest feels so heavy
heavy with pain
feels like crying.

Remember the dreams
we built together?
but… here I am
alone and desperate…
to keep the dreams afloat!

Why did you leave me?
Leave me
to solitude?

There is something
that makes me still love you!
I donna what!!

Alone, I find
tears, my sole friend!

I remember the day
you came into my life
never did I give a serious thought
than for the sweet fragrance of yours!

Days flew by
and I feel addict
to your fragrance!

My eyes droop
my fingers shiver
my heart breathes deeply
when I miss you!

Hey… come fast
I am still
waiting with flower
in my hand

Come fast…
the petals are falling apart
faster than I thought…

Days are falling
like petals
the fragrance still remains.

This is one dream
I don’t want to forget
in my life.

Don’t worry…
I will see
the flowers don’t dry…
till you come back…

Unusual Fragrance

a poem by

Junaid M

Standing by the river banks
twinglish in the setting sun

I sit solemnly
in solitude!

Brazenly… the wind drizzled
with an unusual fragrance…

Flapping her taut wings
came a skylark!
so beautiful!,
her eyebrows
felt like painted in heaven!
her eyes
like jade!

Fazed I stand
in a trance

I fear to sing for her
for fear of her
twitched eye brows
and frown forehead!

Still, I believe
the fragrance was hers…
an unusual fragrance

A staring beauty

a poem by

Junaid M

The skylarks flocking
through the blue sky
a lovely one amidst them
stares at me!

Dumbstruck by her beauty
I too stare at her
her lovely lips
giggles at me
a fountain of joy,
bursts in my heart
seeing her eyes
I sway into my dreams…
seeing her pretty nose
I stray into her heart.

Fear germinates for want of her song
I keep pondering
“How’ll I tell her
that I love her?”

A Couple

a poem by

Junaid M

The sun is cute
crimson in colour

The moon is
waiting for her turn

Both of them
have made a heaven
out of shades!

Beneath the sky
I see a bird
clinging to a
broken twig

She is weeping
about some thought
her tears
twinkling in the golden sun
run along her cheek
and falls!

She is waiting with
dreams in her eyes
aspirations clamped in her heart
for her lover!

A moment without him
might kill her
of pain…

She loves him
more than herself!

The wind
takes the fragrance of her tears
across lengths!

Moments flew by…
and I see in distance
her lover
coming flapping his majestic wings
with a rose
clenched in his beak…

For his ever loving girl!

Oh… what a couple!
a love
so radiant
it will make the stars shy!

She…

a poem by

Junaid M

One the way
Of life
I saw a bird, beautiful, beautiful
And graceful!
Her sparkling eyes embellished her face
My chuntering mind
Suddenly felt bound
To her heart
Warmth of her mind
Spread into me
Seemed to me, a bourn,
A bourn of love
Her smile
Caught my glance
A vagrant like, I
For her smile
Her gaze
Seemed to weaken me
Her eyes knew
I was searching for her
Oozed from her lips
The very smile
My lips too
Responded to hers’
Dawn and dusk
Passed by
With my dreams
laden by her thoughts
lurid, seemed I
in absence of her
seemed to fade away
my love for solitude!
She was beauty
at it’s best!
My eyes
still dreams of her!
Mesmerizing is your beauty
ravaging through my mind
I fear
I’ve fallen in love!
I saw her, there
Her bewildering eyes
entangled with mine
her beauty,
ravaging beauty
swirls me!
My mind seem to whisper:
‘love is divine’
I’m searching for her heart
Her fragrance
Fluttered in the wind
Tingling my nostrils
I feel a sigh
Escape me!
Oh, my love,
Don’t tear my heart away
The pain of love so enchanting
I seem to forget myself
Searching for her
My eyes!!!
I can’t forget her
She’s a part of me!!!

A slaughter

a poem by

Junaid M

My day
to bid flesh
turned to be a day,
disgusting and terrifying.
Along the path
I heard screams-
“The desire to live”
of the poor creature.
Stripped of her skin
she lay with her sulken skull
uptorn, dipped in red blood.
She lay dead
on the butcher’s table
waiting for her chance.
Mercilessly, his hand
laden with the stubborn knife
lowers on her flesh
shredding her into pieces.
A passer by, me!
The liquid of life
spurt onto my bewildered face.
My conscience
in pang
my heart
in vain
can taste her screams
for life.
He gathers
the shredded pieces
in a bag
and offered me.
My shivering hands
my guilty heart
couldn’t bear her weight,
weight of her screams.
A few moments back
a cow
now, shredded pieces
dipped in blood and screams.
Her slaughter
left me shaken.
My pondering eyes
seemed to ask the nifty niggard:
“Are we men??”
