Fake Emotions

a poem by Juliana Dias

When I know for sure
That you’re my need,
Why do I fake my emotions?
When I open a book
You are all I read
Why do I fake my emotions?
Every part of me blooms
With just the smell of you
Why do I fake my emotions?
When our mere distance
Makes me blue
Why do I fake my emotions?
When I know that its love
And love alone
Why do I fake my emotions?

Patience

a poem by Juliana Dias

When Failure wins
and you face defeat
PATIENCE is the word.
Hold this word close to your heart
And set to conquer the world

But when things are lost for good
Don’t hold this PATIENCE so dear
Look forth and march ahead
With new goals in sight and renewed vigor.

Time waits for none

a poem by Juliana Dias

You Gotta Act
Time waits for none
To lead the race
You gotta run
Gotta think swift
Gotta think smart
Your Goals, dear
Is where you lay your heart
Don’t look back
Just keep the pace
Moving forth
Enjoy the race
When you move and move and find
That you’ve left all others behind
Think about this brilliant advice
And spread them to all good and nice

Glimpse of the Future

a poem by Juliana Dias

Get a glimpse of the FUTURE
How will that be
Will it bring peace
Or disrupt harmony
Get a glimpse of the future
Will mankind rise
Or will it drown in the deluge
Of tears and cries
Get a glimpse of the future
Will the human race succeed
Or will it call doom
With its actions of greed
Given a chance
Will he advance
And with this grace
Give the world a better face?

O wish I knew!
O wish I knew!
If the future we could view
Would we bring compassion and love to earth
By spreading across goodwill and mirth?
If yes, I’d say to God in Sky
To give this grace to every eye.

In times of distress

a poem by Juliana Dias

In times of distress,
I think of you
You are the first face,
That passes thru
Why is it so,
I’ll never know
Must be the power,
Of your wondrous glow
Years have passed,
That you have gone
I still remember,
The way your eyes had shone
Your smile which was so dear to me
Has still not left my life and me
You gave me pain,
So hard to keep
You left me alone,
In darkness to weep
Get a hold of you,
I cannot do
Into lifelessness,
Gone have you,
But yet
In times of distress,
I think of you
You are the first face,
That passes thru
Why is it so,
I’ll never know
Could be my Love for you,
That could not grow
As time goes by,
My memory fades
In the walk of life,
New friend I’ve made
But still when,
Days are hard and bad
It’s you and you alone,
That makes me glad.

Knew you were special

a poem by Juliana Dias

The first glance of You
Knew you were special
The First words of friendship
Knew the bond was real
You came into my life
Slowly! and steadily
Days and months went by
You grew on me so readily
The day you made
Your feelings known
It was a little late
Lost I was in my trap
As was part of my fate
Yet you were so special then
What was it,
I still can’t explain
Little did we know
Our togetherness
Just had to grow
How and when all barriers split
I didn’t know
And I know you didn’t
The future’s still formless
Know not what’s in store
But lets strive to build
A world that’s ours
Now and forevermore.
