Chocked for Words

a poem by Balram

A twinkle in the eye, a smile on the face
One look at her, sets your heart in pace.
She is only one of a kind,
Nymphs like her are hard to find.
Showers of praises served on a platter,
People like her are hard to flatter.
A look beyond the absolute obvious,
Members of the same species left envious.
Her pearls of wisdom leaves us in laughter,
We are all but lambs to the slaughter.
Will there ever be a deception point?
Pure thoughts in her for me to anoint.
Faithful and true in her own right,
Like the twinkling stars that promised the night.
In the memory she will always remain,
Any stone heart she is ready to tame.
