Romantic Ambrosia

a poem by Anand Bose

Our encounter
Was a sumptuous banquet
As we shared our hearts
And minds with the choicest
We discovered our self
On the menu of our
Our aperitif was
A meditation
On who we are
And our ethos
Of existential meaning…
We had candlelight dinner by
Opening our hearts out
For wine we shared our
Photos, we drank in
The relish of splendor…
Let’s become one and
Enrich our life in
Tokens of love
That are countless

Song of Songs II

a poem by Anand Bose

My Darling…
My lips are warm, intimate
And long to soak your lips
And get drunk on the wine
Of your intensity…
My arms open wide
Like a eager gate to
Hug you and caress
You and remain clung
For a passionate melting
Of time…
Yes my lover I long
To drink in your lyrical
Yes I would like to
Yield myself to you
As tenderly as I write
A poem, as softly
As a stream that
Trickles along
The mountain slopes…
Yes my darling,
I would love to feel
The mounts of your
Rich passionate fruit…
Taste them like nectar
With passionate hunger…
Yes I long for your sweet lilies
That have awakened meadows…
How I long to graze on their
Pastures loving and hearing
You sound the music of ecstasy…

Song of Songs!

a poem by Anand Bose

O ray’d dawn…
You have spoken to me
Adored darling
In the colors of love…
A dove there rising…
Softly flowing into
The clouds…
Makes me want to
Caress you and hold
You and hug and taste
The breath of the sweet
Morning in adoration
And love…
My nights have been
A cold freezer without
You, my precious jewel…
In you alone I nurture
Me heart’s content…
In your mysticism and
Magic, I find a solace
A nurturing grove,
A lofty hill, a towering
Light house…
All in cherished
Warmth endured
Loved adored and

Art of Wings

a poem by Anand Bose

Winged art moving
Time as a poetic glazier—
It’s a music delighting eyes,
A dance that floats, stunning
The silence of eternity;
Watching them climb
Higher and Higher, their
Celestial robes having the
Precision of a mobile art
Gallery— I am standing
On the earth, while you
Open the art of an experience;
You disappear from my vision-
Yet you have chosen a destiny–
A white flame merging as a song
Of love, your breath now,
An ethereal cosmic whisper.

For Her

a poem by Anand Bose

I have found you a blossom,
A flame of many orchards…
Of Passion and love for you,
I would like to be a river,
Devoted and flowing for
Your fullness, harmonizing
Your streams to a rich ocean…
Flowing forever, renewing time
In celestial whispers and echoes
That ring the music of dawn that
Would echo of some ethereal mystery…
A soul I have found in you…

a poem by Anand Bose

I found the Rose,
full bloom, in the mild pot.
I found the imprisoned
stem and gazed at its
destitute thorns.
I smiled and
brushed my feathers off and found
the bird sinking its claws
into frozen imagination.
I opened the fragile
eye and floated a dream.

Gibran and the Raven

a poem by Anand Bose

Conjurer, dark’s carrier-
symbol’s undertaker.
Poets have spied upon you,
unleashing your symbolic mask
as an altar hovering with death.
Speak no more, the human’s
Breathe easy bird
as you float subterranean wings-
heeding God’s calling.
misunderstood by the ages-
Voices of poetry chanting,
fear, death and mystery’s
blind alley.
“There you are now” said God.
“Go feed my prophet,
who is hungry,
who has withstood
the desert of knowing.”

Romantic Duet

a poem by Anand Bose

The Sun has entered romance
with its rosy and pink hues…
Call me lover, and delight
in the rich oasis of the evening.
Let’s love our self’s as evening
paints the sky with ethereal colors.
What whispers have in your heart
for me…
Spoil me in the luxury of your passion…
Yes I miss your honey’d lips ,
Yes my tender dew drop …
My darling you are the color rainbow…
My lips would melt in yours
as easy a brook flowing…
I have planted many hugs in
my heart and I have sown
them with loving affection
for you.

Ode to Psyche

a poem by Anand Bose

Oh Psyche-
Floating on the
Romantic sedative air-
Your words are on
The wings of poetry.
You have seduced
The earth as an
Angel of flight.
Why have you
Left your charms
Besieged in
Your fragile body?
Yes, you release
A beauty
As a painting
Of flight.
You have left
The forsaken body
Of lust and you have
Traveled to the air-
A heaven now of imagination.

Flight of Stained Glass

a poem by Anand Bose

A tiny stained glass
Flitted across the air
Showing of its delicate
Wings of black and white-
Taking time to rest
On a shady leaf-
And then drifting again
Dancing in the wind
Like a ballerina
Gliding with her legs
And hands and then
Vanishing away
From the spectator

Poetic Reverie

a poem by Anand Bose

The moon is lit in the garden
Shining as a glazed tongue,
Playing hide and seek behind the
I would have loved to have you
With me for a quite moment
Oh dear one, let’s feel
How the heart overflows-
Our hands are clasped and
Touch is an elation, joyful
Shuddering of the veins as
Feeling leaps up like the
Petals of a wild flower-
Oh darling how I wish
We were soaked in tremulous joy
Hugged and embraced emitting
The heart’s warmth as the burning hearth
The night glistens with pearls-
How I wish to adorn them to lover
As a necklace flaming passion
The dark of the night is an
Yielding bed to my lover
My loins have the dark of them
The abyss to give you joy
To circumambulate the
Nectar of your passionate lips
And stay in you drenched
As a song of love.

Eliot City

a poem by Anand Bose

Carnival in neon puffed up;
Dandy hat out
Of the bill board
Winks in rainbow colors
Promises are feathery nails
Empyrean in seduction.

The luxury candies
Are piling up —
The blinking is
Ceremoniously red

The lobster in
The way side glass
Grins placidly.

The pedestrians
Glimpse each other
In speedy meditation;
Camouflaged palms
Are metallic on ears
And talking.

The muezzin’s
Drones into the ears
And spills over as

She winks and waves
And pulls up her stockings
Show casing her nails,
Polished with die cast aluminium.

A candy screeches
And the door beams open.
Off sunshine goes into it
For a paid, progressive night.

The soup box
Whirs over the head
It’s mechanistic
And going around
In pelvic circles.

The police soups
Nirvana into
His Harley import;
Die-hard roars through
The city as a
Steel monk
Overtaking frigidity.

Lover’s Wish

a poem by Anand Bose

Love lingers
In the heart
Like a fire burning
As flames in the mantel piece
Every embrace, every kiss
Every whisper of the heart
Wakes all the flowers from
The body feels so cold
In the bed without you.
It remembers how
Beautiful it is
To make love
Forever like swans
Flowing in the lake of life.
