A Soul and a Diamond

a poem by

Ambika Tiku

A Soul and a Diamond.
Its essence is close to the soul,
Born unknown to the world,
Dark carbon it is I am told.

My comparison to the soul isn’t unjustified,
For purity and brilliance is innate,
Only someone to chisel is all that it takes.

Brilliant, pure and strong,
A soul and a diamond,
Remain unconquered in the realm of this mystical world.
